PIM inaugurates first professional skills program in Corporate Sustainability and Digital Transformation

PIM inaugurated the first professional skills program in Corporate Sustainability and Digital Transformation on the 14 June 2023. Two simultaneous batches commenced for professionals who are keen on enhancing their skills in the areas of sustainability and digital transformation. Keynote speaker was University of Sri Jayawardenepura Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama while the sessions were also addressed by Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne (USJP Senior lecturer) and Channa De Silva (Lanka Pay CEO). The latter duo are resource members of the program. A key feature of the program is the practical nature of the content and the faculty of the program having an ideal blend of academia and professionals. 

Dr. Dushan addressed the importance of applying the knowledge on sustainability and digital transformation at their work places. Upon the completion of the event the weekday evening batch commenced with Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne. Professionals from varied sectors including ICT, banking, manufacturing and many other diversified fields have enrolled in the program to sharpen their skills and competencies. The program is coordinated by PIM Senior faculty member Tharindu Ameresekere.

Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) is a self-financed and semi-autonomous body affiliated to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Today, it serves the national interests of professional management education and training, providing challenging opportunities for learning and skills development to thousands of senior-level managers and administrators.
