IESL holds 2023 Induction and Graduation Ceremony

The Induction and Graduation Ceremony 2023 of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) was held on 31 August at the BMICH Main Hall.  

National Science Foundation Chairman Professor Ranjith Senaratne was the Chief Guest at the event. Associate Members of the Institute who successfully completed the Professional Review procedure were elevated to the status of Chartered Engineers, a prestigious position recognised throughout the country. 201 new Chartered Engineers were inducted this year. In addition, students who passed the IESL exams received their graduation certificates.

Following the induction and graduation ceremony, schoolchildren who competed in the IESL’s Junior Inventor of the Year (JIY) Competition for the school year 2022/23 (category winners) were awarded. Winners of the IESL competitions for Engineering Undergraduates (Migara Rathnatunga Trust Awards and Eng. E.W. Karunaratna Awards) were also recognised.
