Forum on ‘Emerging Careers for the Future’

The National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC) together with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL), CareerMe, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), the International Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ICC), and the Daily Financial Times have organised a forum on ‘Emerging Careers for the Future’.

This seminar will be held on 18 July at 8:30 a.m. at the Members Lounge of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL), Colombo 7.  



Cabinet Minister of Ports, Shipping and Southern Development and Youth Affairs Sagala Ratnayake will grace the event as the Chief Guest and International Labour Organisation, Sri Lanka Officer in Charge Thomas Kring will be the Guest of Honour. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Mohan De Silva will deliver the keynote address focusing on the latest research done by the UGC. A special feature of the event would be the launch of an Android Application that will offer a free competency assessment and career guidance.

The event will be followed by a panel discussion with experts: International Institute of Health Sciences Dean/Chairman Dr. Nihal De Silva, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka President Jagath Perera, KPMG Managing Partner Reyaz Mihular, Standard Chartered Bank Chief Executive Officer Bingumal Thewathanthri, The British Council Director (Education and English) Louise Cowcher, Deloitte Partner Peeyush Arya, YOULEAD Project Director Charles Conconi, CareerMe Founder/CEO Anjana Kulasekara, and the audience participation. National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka and International Chamber of Commerce Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody will moderate the panel discussion.
