Dr. Sunethra Nugawela to address 25th Asia Pacific Secretaries Congress

The Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals in Asia Pacific 25th Congress will be held in Thailand during 08 September to 12 September 2023.  Glow with the Flow is the theme and already over 350 participants have been registered to the congress.

The Administrative Professionals and Secretary Association of Thailand is the host and Sukanya Nimmanheminda is the current ASA President.  Lilian Coloma of the Philippines is the Secretary General and Alvina Chung of Brunei is the Treasurer of ASA.

Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Bangladesh, Korea and Papua New Guinea (members), Australia and other countries will take part in this congress.

Dr Sunethra Jayaratne Nugawela, who has been invited as a speaker at the congress, is specialised in Business Administration, Social Etiquette, Management Training, Proficiency in English, Teacher Training and diverse fields of professional education.  

Sunethra is the first ever Past ASA President from Sri Lanka to date and currently serves as an Active Honorary Life President.  She is an Honorary Life Member, Past Advisor and Past President of the Sri Lanka Association of Administrative Professionals and Secretaries (SLAAPS).  She served as a Panellist at 15th ASA Congress in Brunei.  She has attended fourteen Congresses so far and “Essentials of Education Beyond”, is the topic she will speak on  at the 25th ASA Congress.

Sunethra is a very active and dynamic Administrative Professional globally and has created history as an international voice of Administrative Professionals.  She holds a number of Fellow and Member status nationally and internationally from renowned professional bodies, associations, and educational institutions.   She is a writer for the Executive Support Magazine (UK), Speaker on Admin Chat (UK), and a reserve council member of World Administrative Alliance. She has been a finalist and awarded “The Office Manager (UK)”, consequently during 2022 and 2023.

 Dr Sunethra Nugawela is the Chairperson and Executive Director of the Academy for Administrative Professionals in Sri Lanka and is the Executive Secretary of the SDB bank. Sunethra has created a brand universally as a Professional Trainer, Resource Person, Mentor, Coach, Curriculum Writer and a Presenter.
