Continental Insurance certified as Great Place to Work

Continental Insurance Lanka Ltd. (CILL), a leading player in the insurance industry, has received the coveted Great Place to Work certification as a strong validation of a progressive workplace culture.

The certification for 2024, follows CILL 610+ employees’ response, across 60 branches, to a rigorous assessment process conducted by the global authority Great Place to Work Institute. The recognition demonstrates CILL’s commitment to building an engaging, rewarding, supportive and inclusive environment where all employees can thrive.

CILL Deputy Chairman/Managing Director Chaminda De Silva noted, “This historic achievement belongs to each and every one of our dedicated team members. We have focused on creating a workplace that is caring, has open communication, with a shared sense of purpose. Their incredible effort, passion, commitment, and teamwork are the pillars supporting our great workplace. As we celebrate the accomplishment, it reinforces the importance of CILL’s most valuable asset – our people.” Based on the survey, CILL employees endorsed ‘fairness’ as the company’s strength, specifically indicating employees feel most positively that “Managers avoid playing favourites”. Additionally, the top Workplace Health Indicator was identified as “Long term association with the organisation” demonstrating employees enjoy their work and feel motivated to build careers within the company long-term due to the supportive environment.
