CMA Sri Lanka signs Member Pathway Agreement with CPA Australia

The exchange of the Member Pathway Agreement by CPA Australia Chief Member Experience Officer Rowena Buddee and CMA Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, in the presence of CMA Vice President Hennayake Bandara joined by CPA Australia representatives Regional Head of Emerging Markets Nicklaus Wee, Business Development Manager – Emerging Markets Don Poh, CPA representative in Sri Lanka Dinuk Hettiarachchi, together with CMA Council Members Sanjaya Bandara, Ruchira Perera, P. Gajendran, Asanga Wimalarathne, Surekha Ketawala, Actg. CEO Kosala Dissanayake, Director Examinations Madumi Perera and Consultant Prof. Mangala Fonseka

The Member Pathway Agreement was signed by CMA Sri Lanka Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and CPA Australia Chief Member Experience Officer Rowena Buddee, and witnessed by CMA Sri Lanka Vice President Hennayake Bandara and CPA Australia representative in Sri Lanka Dinuk Hettiarachchi 


The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA Sri Lanka) the national professional management accounting body in Sri Lanka incorporated by an Act of Parliament expanded a pathway to all the CMA members to obtain the CPA Australia Qualification by renewing the Member Pathway Agreement (MPA) on 9 April 2024, at the CMA Head Office, Colombo. With the signing of the New Member Pathway agreement, members of CMA Sri Lanka who completed the 2023 new syllabus could obtain the membership of CPA Australia by completing two core modules and one elective subject, which could be taken from Sri Lanka. 

CPA Australia is a globally recognised accounting body and has a membership of more than 172, 000 members in over 100 countries and regions, supported by 20 offices globally.
