The Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka) has opened applications for the Best Management Practices Company Awards (BMPC Awards) 2027, marking the sixth edition following five successful editions. The awards recognise outstanding public and private sector organisations that demonstrate excellence in management practices, innovation, operational efficiency, sustainability and organisational growth.
The BMPC Awards have become an important platform for celebrating effective management, sound leadership and measurable organisational progress. Beyond recognising achievements, the initiative promotes the adoption of best management practices that contribute to business excellence, economic development and national progress.
The awards will culminate in a grand awards night on 26 February 2027 at Monarch Imperial, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, expecting over 1,200 corporate leaders, senior executives, entrepreneurs and distinguished guests to celebrate organisational excellence and continuous improvement.
A national platform to showcase management excellence
The BMPC Awards enable organisations to demonstrate how their management strategies, policies and practices contribute to organisational performance and sustainable growth. Focusing on best practices implemented over a five-year period, the awards encourage organisations to present evidence of their achievements and commitment to excellence.
Participation offers more than recognition. It provides an opportunity to review management practices, identify improvement opportunities, benchmark performance and demonstrate the value created through leadership, innovation, people management, operational excellence and sustainability.
The awards also encourage organisations to learn from one another by sharing practical knowledge and proven approaches to contemporary management challenges.
As an added benefit, every organisation submitting a report for the BMPC Awards 2027 will receive three complimentary seats at the 14th Management Insights Summit 2027, scheduled for 25 February 2027. This opportunity will enable representatives to learn from international speakers and experienced management practitioners, explore innovative business solutions and adapt proven practices to their own organisations. This initiative reinforces CPM Sri Lanka’s commitment to making the awards a platform for knowledge-sharing, continuous improvement and management excellence.
Top 10 companies to showcase success stories at the 14th Management Insights Summit
A key highlight of the BMPC Awards 2027 is the opportunity for the top 10 selected companies to showcase their best management practice stories at the 14th Management Insights Summit on 25 February 2027.
These organisations will share their successful strategies, practical experiences, innovative solutions and lessons learned with a wider audience, contributing to the development of management knowledge in Sri Lanka.
The summit is expected to attract over 800 participants, including corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, academics and management professionals. International speakers will share global perspectives and valuable insights into management, leadership, innovation and organisational development.
By combining the awards with the summit, CPM Sri Lanka creates a distinctive platform where organisations can gain recognition, share expertise and learn directly from practitioners who have successfully implemented effective management solutions.
Guidance and support for applicant organisations
To facilitate participation, technical guidance and standardised templates will be provided to all registered applicant organisations, supporting them in preparing their reports and documenting their management practices and results.
Initial registration is open until 20 November 2026, while the deadline for submitting completed reports is 15 December 2026. Organisations are encouraged to register early to obtain the necessary guidance and allow sufficient time to prepare their submissions.
Organisations across Sri Lanka are invited to participate, demonstrate their management capabilities and contribute to a stronger, more competitive business environment.
Recognising excellence, inspiring progress
Through the BMPC Awards, CPM Sri Lanka continues to promote professional management, responsible leadership, innovation and continuous improvement.
