AHRP Sri Lanka participates in SHRM 25 Conference in San Diego

The Association of Human Resources Professionals – Sri Lanka (AHRP) participated in the prestigious SHRM 25 Annual Conference and Expo held from 29 June to 2 July, at the San Diego Convention Center. The conference brought together industry leaders to network, gain insights on workforce trends, and acquire practical skills essential for advancing the profession.

Representing AHRP at this event were AHRP Past President Isuru Tillakawardana, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Deputy General Manager Human Resources Management, and AHRP – Senior Vice President, South Asia Gateway Terminals General Manager – HR Thushara Jayawardena, who engaged with global HR leaders and reinforced the organisation’s commitment to international collaboration and professional development.

The participation at SHRM 25 highlights the strong partnership between AHRP and SHRM, which has been in place for over a decade. This collaboration has facilitated numerous joint initiatives, including the prestigious HR Awards, Human Resource Think Tank (HRTT) programs, and comprehensive HR knowledge-sharing sessions that have significantly elevated the HR profession in Sri Lanka.

During the conference, AHRP representatives interacted with key SHRM leadership, including SHRM-SCP President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM India, APAC and MENA CEO Achal Khanna, and SHRM Corporate Secretary and Chief of Staff Emily M. Dickens, J.D., further cementing the organisations’ shared vision for advancing human resource management globally.
