World Kidney Day amidst a large and distinguished gathering. Free haemodialysis packages were offered to patients undergoing dialysis and a health camp was also conducted.
The Board of Directors of New Philip Hospital, comprising Dr. Christo Fernando, Mrs. Indrani Fernando, Dr. Isshani Fernando and Chris Fernando, were present at the event together with Consultant Nephrologist Dr. Sanjaya Heiyantuduwa, who delivered a lecture on kidney diseases. New Philip Hospital, Kalutara is the only private hospital beyond Colombo and right up to Galle which has a specialised Renal Unit.
