VIMA Sri Lanka launches official website www.vima.lk

The Veterinary Pharmaceutical Importers and Manufacturers Association (VIMA) recently launched its official website www.vima.lk in Kandy.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted with the participation of key officials of the Department of Animal Production Health including Director General Dr. K.A.C.H.A. Kothalawala, and VIMA.

VIMA was established in the year 2016 with the purpose of establishing an ethical and sustainable veterinary pharmaceuticals industry in Sri Lanka that meets the needs of the animal health industry and the society. VIMA is the main body related to the veterinary pharmaceutical products importation and manufacturing activities in Sri Lanka. Launching the official website to the general public is one of the memorable occasions of VIMA at the journey of creating a sustainable veterinary pharmaceuticals industry and it helps to get the veterinary pharmaceuticals industry related information in an easy manner. VIMA President Mangala Wijesinghe said: “Launching a website for VIMA will be a distinctive achievement of the industry and our aim is to connect our industry stakeholders to a common platform through technology to communicate and share industry related important information. We are planning to further improve the same with more features to align with digital transformation to be a part of the global context too.”
