Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC has concluded 2025 by demonstrating that world-class clinical care and deeply earned patient trust are the true catalysts for robust corporate growth.

By prioritising exceptional healthcare services and patient safety, the hospital has successfully translated clinical precision into an unprecedented multifaceted financial performance encompassing record revenue, profitability, and consistent shareholder value. The Group reported the highest revenue since its inception at Rs. 14.47 billion, driven by expanded healthcare services and optimised operational efficiencies. The hospital’s financial success is a direct reflection of its clinical volume and surgical success rates. In 2025, Lanka Hospitals recorded a total of 802 cardiothoracic surgeries, the highest number performed by any single hospital in the private sector, in Sri Lanka. Additionally, the multidisciplinary surgical teams completed over 390 bariatric surgeries, the highest in the industry, with zero mortality, reflecting a world-class level of surgical expertise. These milestones were supported by record-breaking diagnostic volumes in the radiology  department, which surpassed 10,000 MRI scans and 8,000 CT scans during the year.

As a premier State-Owned-Enterprise (SOE), Lanka Hospitals has not only fortified its market position but also significantly contributed to the national economy, providing over Rs. 1.4 billion to the State Treasury

in 2025 via taxes and dividends. This achievement reinforces a dual commitment to public service and commercial viability, while maintaining its core commitment to world-class patient care. Reinforcing its commitment to consistent value creation for investors, the company has declared an interim dividend, resulting in the highest total dividend payout in its history.

Lanka Hospitals Group Managing Director Chaaminda Kumarasiri said: “Our performance in 2025 is a powerful testament to the synergy between financial discipline and clinical precision. Achieving a revenue of Rs. 14.47 billion while maintaining zero mortality in complex surgical lines demonstrates that our growth is driven by trust and responsible practices. We remain dedicated to delivering sustainable value to our shareholders while ensuring that every patient receives care that meets the most rigorous global benchmarks.”

Reflecting its stature in a highly competitive corporate landscape, Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC was recognised as the Sector Winner in the ‘Healthcare Equipment and Services’ sector by LMD in 2025. Further cementing its reputation, the hospital was also named the LMD Most Awarded Healthcare Institution for the second time. These accolades were complemented by operational excellence, with nine hospital teams earning Gold Awards at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles. Lanka Hospitals also secured the Gold Award at the TAGS Awards for excellence in corporate reporting for the third consecutive year.

Clinical leadership remains a cornerstone of this success, underpinned by the hospital’s status as the only facility in Sri Lanka to hold the dual “Gold Standard” in international healthcare recognitions. Lanka Hospitals has been recognised internationally by the Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2014; JCI is regarded as the global “gold standard” in healthcare, signaling the highest commitment to patient safety, quality of care, and rigorous international standards. Complementing this is the accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the gold standard in clinical laboratory quality, which ensures maximum patient safety and high accuracy through rigorous, expert-led inspections.

As a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s private healthcare landscape, Lanka Hospitals remains committed to advancing medical technology, strengthening clinical expertise, and upholding internationally recognised standards of care. Looking toward the future, the hospital has successfully bridged the gap between traditional care and digital accessibility, with its redesigned corporate website—leveraging the latest web technologies—now attracting visitors from over 100 countries. By integrating comprehensive healthcare content with enhanced digital services, Lanka Hospitals continues to position itself at the forefront of the region’s healthcare transformation.
