German Applied Engineer and Energy Healer Werner Koenig treating a European patient

  • There are people who have learned basic things about human nature as energy beings and as a result, understand how to use their core knowing – their spirit as a tool. Having been initiated into these mysteries, they are able to connect with the universe at large. This process when activated builds a “bridge” between the visible and invisible. The healing energy flows to the sick person via this “bridge”. In relation to someone who is ill, we try to bundle the abundant energies flowing over this “bridge” around and within a sick being (whether human or animal) and thereby positively influence the body or psyche

What do we mean by ‘education’? What is it that we call ‘knowledge’? What is it to ‘heal’? What is energy and what is matter? How much of electricity does one thought carry? What is scientific and what is holistic? Is there a link in all of the above? Is the human being an isolated and separate entity from the whole he is surrounded by? Or is he connected in many different ways than he is aware of? Is healing a word restricted to the fanciful, esoteric or religious? Is it different to being ‘medicated’?

What are the machineries that unleash ‘healing’ within the anatomy of a living being?

What if these components that create ‘healing’ within a human and between humans were mainstreamed in schools and universities as vital general knowledge? If so what kind of world would this change create?

In this conversation with Werner Koenig a senior German Applied Engineering professional who is also a trained energy healer, applying dimensions of engineering to doctoring the human psyche, we discuss all of the above and more.

Our intention through the Harmony Page is to expand consciousness and to widen the horizons of knowledge. Thereby in this interaction Werner Koenig shares many dimensions that can unify the human race energetically.

Q: Could you introduce yourself and your professional background?

A: I am an applied engineer who got myself trained in the Ecole San Esprit, the educational centre in Großbergham in Obing, Germany that provides energy related training to facilitate healing in a very structured and systematic way. It’s an intensive two-year course where several methods of energy healing are taught.

I was born in 1955 as my parents’ second child in a small town near Frankfurt in Germany.

I attended primary and secondary school in this town and also completed my training as a laboratory technician, working within the world of machines.

I then transferred to university and completed a degree in Applied Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences – Wiesbaden Rüsselsheim.

Q: What is the ancient Germanic indigenous history that interests you most?

A: What impresses and interests me most about the ancient Germanic culture is that absolute equality between men and women were already practiced here.

They had equal rights and duties in the community and fidelity in marriage was sacred.

Women often even went into battle with their husbands and fought side by side.

I am also impressed by the fact that honour and courage were valued more highly than possessions or social status.

Q: What would you define as knowledge?

A: Defining knowledge is not easy because there are different types of knowledge.

There is practical knowledge that helps us in everyday life, there is specialised knowledge, such as about the structure of the human body, and there is completely useless knowledge. (For example who benefits from knowing that the world record in the egg toss is 309 feet?!).

Knowledge is therefore relative.

What is important is the ability of the human mind to apply knowledge optimally to a problem in order to solve it practically.

This quality is called intelligence.

However, even this intelligence is limited unless there is also a component called morality or conscience which is linked to introspection and deep inner questioning.

Only intelligence – combined with conscience and human compassion – makes us what we actually are. Humans are beings of a cosmic nature.

Therefore the mind of a human is part of the cosmic field. The ancient saints or yogis of the East understood this correctly.

The status of the mind of a cosmic being, when activated to full potential, could possibly build upon a powerful intelligence that surpasses limitations–– best examples would be Jesus and the Buddha, who tapped into these metaphysical zones. Today we are one dimensional in our understanding of what knowledge is.

We have not prioritised within our modern education systems across the world what we really should; empathy, awareness, compassion. These are the mind tools that can delve into the unseen of this universe. If this was the priority of our global education systems I believe most of the problems of the world could be solved. If at some point schools and universities strategise their education structure to include these aspects in a secular sense – morality, respect for life, consciousness, they would be healing the world. This would eliminate human inclination towards corruption, destruction of the natural world, petty political power struggles and the obsession to highlight differences in humankind rather than commonalities. It could be a prescription for building up world peace and the end of wars. Overall, this is what healing means.

Illness beings with dis-ease. This means unease experienced by humans. This restlessness or discomfort is due to many factors – mainly a life that is no longer nature-based and the fact that many habits and learned behaviours do not correspond to our true nature. On top of this, many people are made to cram information as part of their education that is actually meaningless and which they therefore do not emotionally connect with.

Q: How much of electrical energy do you think one thought could have?

A: I know that a human brain produces about 40 watts of electrical energy. How much power a single thought has in watts is unknown. Only the strength of brain waves for muscle control is known. However, it is in the milliwatt range.

We must not think in terms of classical science here, because the brain is capable of much more. As soon as you consider the power of a brain in terms of quantum physics, it goes beyond any order of magnitude.

Q:  Probably this is what Jesus knew when he said if a person asks a mountain to move with conviction that it will!

A: Probably. Yes.

Q:  The mind and its unlimited vicissitudes of power is what the Buddha focused on as well.

A: Yes. The sad fact is that we are limiting these knowledge repositories, relegating them solely to religion.

Q:  What do you engage in now on a daily basis?

A: I combine my professional background of engineering, knowledge of other disciplines such as mechanics or quantum physics and what I formally learnt in energy studies. Therefore, I engage daily in healing persons of mental, physical and emotional ailments.

This means that I generally now classify myself as a healer more than an engineer. I have a professional healing practice in Germany.

Unlike previously, where engaging in my engineering profession fed my ego, as a healer I am daily learning humility.

The more you can heal the more humble and grateful you become. You also become intrinsically aware of your responsibility towards the world.

Q: Do you see a separatedness in science and the holistic or a natural connectedness?

A: We can, in the way we approach modern science today, see a separatedness or we can see a connectedness. I see the connectedness.

Q:  Is this not what ancient indigenous people and the mystics of all faiths realised and knew?

A: Yes. It is amazing that vast ancient knowledge bases have been lost because today science is seen only in materialistic terms.

Q:  Who are the scientists that have inspired you in the holistic?

A: There weren’t very many, because we have steered modern science into the selfish path of the monetary. The way we have shaped our current reality everything in science depends on money. Western scientific research is based on where the funding is coming from. This is well known.

Anyone who doesn’t do research in the interests of the economy or the powers that be and refuse to pursue ultimately market based agendas, do not receive any financial support and also prevented from exposure.

However there have been some role models for me. First of all, Albert Einstein, a brilliant physicist who always pointed out that imagination is more important than knowledge.

By imagination we can safely assume that what Einstein meant was the unlimited expansion of the mind. (Incidentally and ironically, Einstein failed Math at school!).

Then, of course, there was Nicola Tesla, who was decades ahead of his time.

If he hadn’t been deliberately boycotted, we would have had free wireless energy transmission worldwide.

There was also the unknown German physicist Burkhard Heim, who created the first usable “world formula” despite severe physical disabilities and who developed a model of the universe based on 12 dimensions, all of which can be proven mathematically.

(Even unseen beings and entities [ghosts] that affect our physical world from higher dimensions can be explained according to this model).

Then, of course, there is Rupert Sheldrake, who discovered the morphogenetic field.

This discovery explains how, for example, a bee colony can only be ruled by one queen and why swarm animals can all react synchronously. The morphogenetic field also explain why telepathy is possible.

Q:  What are your views on Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

A: What we call AI cannot form an independent thought. AI can only reassemble already known facts at incredible speed. This gives many people the impression that technology can think. However, an AI’s answers are always just combinations of existing data, which are then processed and the output generated via a voice or text module.

Q: There is sometimes the relegation of energy healing to the realm of the evangelical which creates some ambiguity in certain countries when the word ‘healing’ is mentioned. Your comments?

A: In earlier times (especially according to the interpretation of the European church in the Middle Ages) only God was able to heal according to the priests of that epoch. This was also the reason for the witch hunts that took place in that era.

However it only takes some basic intellectual reasoning to realise that healing can never be limited to a particular religion, sect or group.

It can be argued that the ancient sages (unbeknownst to them) were the best quantum physicists and the best healers. The ancient Indian mystics, the African shamans and the ancient indigenous spiritual sects such as the Celtic Druids all knew how to harness the human spirit to force inner healing and cure it of any kind of dysfunction. Their secret was that they knew the Oneness with which we are bound to all that is.

Q: Could you further elaborate what energy healing or cosmos merged healing is?

A: The best way to describe energy healing is this: There are people who have learned basic things about human nature as energy beings and as a result, understand how to use their core knowing – their spirit as a tool.

Having been initiated into these mysteries, they are able to connect with the universe at large. This process when activated builds a “bridge” between the visible and invisible. The healing energy flows to the sick person via this “bridge”.

In relation to someone who is ill, we try to bundle the abundant energies flowing over this “bridge” around and within a sick being (whether human or animal) and thereby positively influence the body or psyche. In the best case scenario, the energy body of the living being can regenerate completely. This works equally well for humans and animals.

Regeneration of wellbeing can sometimes happen very quickly (spontaneous healing) or require several healing sessions. It depends on the physical and mental state of the patient and how long the sickness has been infesting within the human encasement.

The healer only restores the energetic balance in the sick being; the physical healing is done by the being itself.

Q: What you said last subscribe to the thought that the human body is an ocean of ‘wellness’ even when sick and that this reservoir can be tapped into in many ways. Isn’t it?

A: Yes. This is correct.

Q:  Would you define energy healing as a ‘science’?

A: When one takes it out of any monopoly that we have given to the word ‘science,’ yes. But there is a huge difference.

Energy healing is always an act of great empathy and human kindness, whereas in science this is usually not the case.

Q: Do you have experience of patients suffering from diseases such as cancer or other very serious illnesses being healed by energy?

A: Yes, I can confirm that. My own mother had a large open ulcer on her leg and conventional medicine was not able to help her. After I gave her about two dozen energy healings, the leg was completely healed.

Q: Are there institutes in Europe that teach such energy healing sciences?

A: There are several places in Europe teaching energy healing under different names and some of them have the appellation of “Spiritual Healing.” As I said earlier I studied energy healing from ‘Ecole San Esprit’ in Germany. I previously omitted to say that this institute was founded by Annette Muller after she survived a car crash and medical certification which decreed that she would not survive. She is incidentally today one of the most well-known energy healing educators in the world.

Since it is at the Ecole San Esprit where I learnt energy healing I can only speak for the quality of this training centre. I enrolled in it as it seemed best suited to my goals and professional backdrop. It took me several months of searching to settle for this energy training institute.

Q: When you say healing what parameters does it cover in terms of ailments?

A: Healing, as I personally understand it, generally involves the improvement of physical, psychological and spiritual parameters.

Even complete healing is possible, but this varies.

However, just like any doctor or alternative practitioner, we must never promise these effects to clients, because promises of healing are generally forbidden in medicine!

Sometimes we even have to realise that all our efforts can be unsuccessful because some people unconsciously do not want to be healed. This is because they derive advantages from their ‘being ill.’ They crave the increased attention from others and bask in the pity.

These persons can neither be healed by us or by conventional medicine, because their psyche does not want it. Even if this may sound quite crazy, our practice has shown that it is true.

Q:  Who were the other professionals who trained with you at the Ecole San Esprit?

A: There were linguists, medical professionals, artistes and persons belonging to different other backgrounds. In terms of nationalities they were mostly Germans and Austrians, Swiss nationals, Italians and Polish. These were those within my batch and the previous. Every two years I understand it is generally a mixed group from across Europe. This just shows that a very diverse set of persons are increasingly interested in studying the flow of human energy. The students of Ecole San Esprit form the Healers Beyond Borders where every year the graduation is celebrated in gratitude by conducting free healings across the world.

Q:  Have the students of this institute been to Sri Lanka for their graduation healing sessions?

A: Yes. The students of Ecole San Esprit were in Sri Lanka in 2024 and 2025 hosted by the Light of Asia centre.

Q:  Could you speak of your healing exposure in Sri Lanka?

A: I was part of Healers Beyond Borders 2025. We were in Sri Lanka earlier this year in January. Our free healing sessions in Sri Lanka were intense with hundreds of clients.

There were many wonderful successes during the extensive sessions.

For example, I treated a young man who could no longer move his right ankle properly due to an accident at work a few years ago.

After just one session, he was walking without pain and was able to roll his foot normally in the joint again.

Another had severe pain in his shoulder and was not only completely pain-free afterwards, but was also able to put his arm behind his head again, which he had not been able to do before.

After the healing session, I was even able to tell some clients exactly where they had suffered injuries on their body in the past, even though they hadn’t said a word to me about it.

However, I also had two people who were completely ailment or pain free and had only come out of curiosity!

I told them this after the healing session and they were very surprised that we could perceive this.
