Troops act swiftly to facilitate people stranded due to landslides

The Sri Lanka Army Troops of the 5 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the 581 Brigade under the 58 Division under command to 1 Corps last evening rescued a total of about 120 civilians trapped due to a landslide that occurred along the road patch between Ranwanthenna - Makandura in the general area of Thawalamthenna near Kotmale New Town.
