Sri Lankan Identification Number (SLIN) for newborn babies from today

The Commissioner General of Registration of Persons Viyani Gunathilaka announced the Department for Registration of Persons has taken steps to issue birth certificates while including a Sri Lankan Identification Number (SLIN) for newborn babies from today.
