Sri Lanka’s international tourism connectivity received a boost as Edelweiss Air, Red Wings Airlines, and Belavia inaugurated their winter season flights to Katunayake and Mattala airports, signaling growing interest from European and Russian travellers.
Aitken Spence Travels accounted for 250 passengers from the Red Wings flight & over 90 paxs from the Belavia flight
All two airlines were greeted with traditional water cannon salutes, and the passengers were welcomed with Kandyan dance performances, and Ceylon Tea gifts.
