IGP ordered police not to use force on pro government protesters: Ramesh Pathirana

The Inspector General of Police C D Wickramaratne had instructed not to use tear gas or water cannons at the pro government protestors when violence broke out on the 9th of May, but it was President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that insisted that the protesters marching from Temple Trees must stop, says SLPP MP Ramesh Pathirana.
