Gem cutting village to empower women of Ratnapura

Transport Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said in Ellawala, Kiriella that one of the main objectives of the Government was to uplift the rural economy.

The Minister made these remarks after participating in the opening ceremony of the Gem Cutting and Training Centre at Ellawala, Pahalagama under the ‘Neela palingu’ project.
