A new international air link is set to bring Sri Lanka and Central Asia closer, creating fresh opportunities for tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
Beginning 28 October 2026, Uzbekistan-based Centrum Air will operate direct scheduled flights between Tashkent and Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, strengthening Sri Lanka’s connectivity with an emerging tourism market.
