Cabinet approves renewable energy plan to meet 70% power demand by 2030

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Renewable Energy Resources Development Plan 2025–2030, aiming to generate 70% of Sri Lanka’s electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, in line with the National Policy on Renewable Energy.
