Two top movies ‘Knock at the Cabin’ and ‘Babylon’ are now screening in several Sri Lankan cinemas.

American apocalyptic psychological horror film ‘Knock at the Cabin’ is being shown at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, LSK – Liberty By Scope Kiribathgoda, CCC – Colombo City Centre, PVR – Colombo 2, KCC – Kandy City Centre, and Milano Cineplex.

‘Knock at the Cabin’ is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who wrote the screenplay from an initial draft by Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. It is based on the 2018 novel The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul G. Tremblay, the first adaptation of one of his works.

The film stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn and Rupert Grint. In the film, a family of three are vacationing at a remote cabin, but they are suddenly held hostage by four strangers, who demand they sacrifice one of their own to avert the apocalypse.

While vacationing at a remote cabin in the woods, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. Confused, scared and with limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

American epic period comedy drama film ‘Babylon’ is being screen at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, LSK – Liberty By Scope Kiribathgoda, CCC – Colombo City Centre, PVR – Colombo 2, and KCC – Kandy City Centre.

Written and directed by Damien Chazelle, Babylon features an ensemble cast including Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo and Li Jun Li. It chronicles the rise and fall of multiple characters during Hollywood’s transition from silent to sound films in the late 1920s.

Decadence, depravity and outrageous excess lead to the rise and fall of several ambitious dreamers in 1920s Hollywood as the industry begins to transition from silent pictures to the world of sound films.
