‘The Exorcist Believer’ and ‘Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ in Lankan cinemas now

Two latest movies ‘The Exorcist Believer’ and ‘Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ are being shown in several cinemas countrywide in Sri Lanka.

The Exorcist Believer is being shown at Colombo City Centre, Liberty by Scope – Kollupitiya, Majestic Superior – Colombo, Majestic Gold – Colombo, Liberty by Scope – Kiribatgoda, NIT Cinema – Kurunegala, NIT Cinema – Ratnapura, Milano Diamond – Kegalle, Regal Screen – Dematagoda, Regal Screen – Gampaha, Regal Screen – Katubadda, Regal Screen – Bandarawela and Kandy City Centre.

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is being screened at Colombo City Centre, Liberty by Scope – Kollupitiya, Liberty by Scope – Kiribathgoda, Kandy City Centre and Regal Katubadda.

The Exorcist Believer, is an American supernatural horror film directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler from a story by Scott Teems, Danny McBride, and Green. The sixth instalment in The Exorcist franchise, it serves as a sequel to The Exorcist (1973). The film stars Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia O’Neill in her film debut, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz and Ann Dowd, along with Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair reprising their roles from the original film. Its plot follows a photographer who must confront the nadir of evil when his daughter and her best friend are possessed.

When his daughter, Angela, and her friend Katherine, show signs of demonic possession, it unleashes a chain of events that forces single father Victor Fielding to confront the nadir of evil. Terrified and desperate, he seeks out Chris MacNeil, the only person alive who’s witnessed anything like it before.

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is a 2023 Canadian computer-animated superhero comedy film based on the television series Paw Patrol and the sequel to the 2021 film Paw Patrol: The Movie. It was directed by Cal Brunker, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bob Barlen from a story by Brunker, Barlen, and Shane Morris. 

Several cast members from the TV series lent their voices to the film, including Christian Corrao (voicing Marshall), Luxton Handspiker (voicing Rubble), Callum Shoniker (voicing Rocky), and Ron Pardo (voicing both Cap’n Turbot and Mayor Humdinger). They are joined by an ensemble voice cast including Mckenna Grace (voicing Skye), Taraji P. Henson, Marsai Martin, Christian Convery, Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock, Lil Rel Howery, Serena Williams, North West, Saint West, James Marsden, Kristen Bell, and introducing Finn Lee-Epp in his film debut as Ryder. 

In the film, The Paw Patrol pups magically gain superpowers after a meteor strikes Adventure City. However, things take a turn for the worse when Humdinger and a mad scientist steal their powers and turn themselves into supervillains. As the team springs into action to save the city, Skye soon learns that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.
