Performance by The French Dance Troupe ‘Souffle de Danse’

 A performance by The French Dance Troupe ‹Souffle de Danse› will be held on 30 April at 1830 hours at Suriyakantha Centre.

 “Prelude to Svarupaya’ is the first phase of the new creation by “Cie Souffle de Danse”. It is the result of a meeting between two artists: Dinuka Perera Chamikara from Sri Lanka and Jyotsna Liyanaratne from France.

 “Souffle de Danse” was created in 2010 on the initiative of Jyotsna Liyanaratne. The company is committed to bringing to life the creative force of ritual and entering into the heart of their wisdom to nourish the present.

In 2015, it launched its production activities with the presentation of its first piece. Each of the company›s pieces is performed and worked on with musicians.

Founder and artistic director of “Souffle de Danse”, Jyotsna Liyanaratne devotes herself entirely to her work as a dancer-choreographer, after nine years as a specialist educator in psychiatric settings and with young deaf people.
