Mount Lavinia Hotel hosted its second Slow Food event for the year; “Slow Food Slovenia by Chef Tatjana Butul” on 22 February at the Horizon Rooftop.

The event was graced by Cuban Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, Honorary Consul General of Slovenia in Sri Lanka Sanath Ukwatte who is also the Chairman of Mount Lavinia Hotel Group, corporate leaders, and media partners.

“Slow Food Slovenia” was a platform that spotlighted the Slovenian culinary delectations for both local and international patrons. The guests enjoyed this exclusive culinary offering from the Slovenian Chef’s hands accompanied by fresh-locally sourced ingredients.

The event showcased the culinary talents of Tatjana Butul while highlighting the cultural syncing between Slovenia and Sri Lanka. The gathering provided the gourmands and food enthusiasts an extraordinary opportunity to indulge in the finest Slovenian cuisine. This event was able to introduce Slovenia’s culinary heritage to Sri Lankan taste pallet while familiarising the true essence of this gastronomic journey.
