Serendip Be The Change Foundation (SBTCF), Fox Jaffna by Fox Resorts, and The Quiet Chapter (Chennai) will host ‘Full Moon Storytelling and Dine for a Cause’ on 1 March at Fox Jaffna from 5:30 p.m. onwards.
The evening will begin with a Tamil narration of Velpari by South Indian storyteller Kani Thiru. This will be followed by a moonlight dinner curated by Executive Chef Balan Pushpendran, featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared using organic vegetables grown and harvested by children in the program and procured directly from them in support of their nutrition gardens.
The charity gala is in support of SBTCF’s flagship initiative, Education Without Hunger, a sustainable child nutrition and food security program implemented across 25 schools and 4 community centres in Jaffna and Puttalam, establishing school, home, and community gardens and teaching schoolchildren to grow and harvest their own organic food.
