Shangri-La Colombo presents an unforgettable evening of flair, artistry, and spirited celebration with Femme Fatales – a bar takeover by two of Sri Lanka’s finest female bartenders. Capital Bar & Grill comes alive as Nilakshi Wijesinghe and Kushani Withanage showcase their award-winning mixology on 26 and 27 September.

With over a decade behind the bar, Nilakshi Wijesinghe is celebrated for her infused clear cocktails and masterful use of local “Rooted in Nature” ingredients. A champion of sustainable garnishes and storytelling cocktails, she brings passion and precision to every glass. Her accolades include Bar Champ Champion 2024, multiple Chef Guild Gold Medals for arrack and gin cocktails, and the title of Most Outstanding Bartender – 1st Runner-up 2025. Nilakshi’s creations are more than drinks — they are experiences, inspired by culture, sustainability, and flair.

Rising alongside her is Kushani Withanage, F&B Service Associate at Capital Bar & Grill, whose fresh approach has already earned her national acclaim. Inspired by her home nursery garden, she crafts cocktails with Sri Lankan herbs, fruits, and spices — weaving nature into every sip. Her awards include All-Island 1st Runner-up at the 2023 Bar Champ Competition, Silver Medal in Mocktails 2023, and the prestigious Most Outstanding Mixologist at Chef’s Guild 2024, where she also won gold for both arrack and gin cocktails and mocktails.

From 7:30 p.m. to midnight of the two days, Capital Bar & Grill offers a cocktail experience unlike any other in Colombo.
