Exposition of “Arbudhaya Saha Aragalaya” at Lionel Wendt Art Gallery

The visual art exhibition of Sujith Rathnayake, titled “Arbudhaya Saha Aragalaya” (Crisis and struggle) opened to the public earlier this week at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Colombo. 

Presented by the Exhibition Committee of the Art Gallery of the Galle Face Protest Site, the exhibition at the Lionel Wendt Gallery is open to the public, free of charge, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until 15 February. 

The art works depicted in this unique exhibition stemming from the Galle Face Aragalaya protest site, have been created by Rathnayake during the Aragalaya occupation of the Galle Face green, and in subsequent months leading up to the exhibition. The exhibition is termed a ‘visual art attack’ consisting of painting, assemblage, installation, and mixed media work
