Embassy of Japan in Colombo celebrates Emperor’s 64th birthday

The Embassy of Japan in Colombo graciously hosted distinguished guests at the Ambassador’s official residence to celebrate the 64th birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. This distinguished ceremony, held on 21 February, was a poignant occasion to strengthen the enduring friendship between Japan and Sri Lanka.

Justice, Prisons and Constitutional Reforms Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe graced the event as the Chief Guest. He was joined by a distinguished gathering of Cabinet and State Ministers, Members of Parliament and other dignitaries. Japan’s Ambassador in Sri Lanka Mizukoshi Hideaki expressed his sincere appreciation for the presence of the distinguished guests and emphasised the paramount importance of strengthening bilateral relations and promoting mutual prosperity.

The Embassy expressed its sincere wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Sri Lanka and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to maintaining the warm and cordial relations between the two nations.
