Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts partners SriLankan Airlines for culinary extravaganza with Gary Mehigan

Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is delighted to announce an exciting collaboration with the national carrier, SriLankan Airlines, as the powered by partner for an upcoming series of exclusive events featuring the renowned British-Australian Michelin Star celebrity chef and former original judge of MasterChef Australia, Gary Mehigan. 

The culinary extravaganza is scheduled to take place from 30 November to 2 December.

SriLankan Airlines will serve as the flown-in partner, facilitating Gary Mehigan’s arrival in Sri Lanka for an extraordinary culinary experience that the island has yet to witness.

As part of this partnership, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts will host exclusive five-course dinners curated by Gary Mehigan at the London Grill, followed by a grand event at Atrium, Cinnamon Grand Colombo on 30 November and 1 December respectively. The culinary journey will culminate with a carvery at Cheers Pub, Cinnamon Grand Colombo, on 2 December along with a delightful High Tea at Atrium on the same day.

During his visit, Gary Mehigan will have the opportunity to explore the culinary excellence of SriLankan Airlines by visiting its flight kitchen and experiencing the preparation of in-flight meals. SriLankan Airlines Head of Marketing Saminda Perera said: “As a prime promoter of destination Sri Lanka, we believe that our collaboration in initiatives of global standard will help raise awareness and attract inbound tourism from around the world. These activities will play a pivotal role in supporting the Sri Lankan tourism industry increase arrivals to the island. SriLankan Airlines, the flag carrier of Sri Lanka and a member of the oneworld Airline Alliance, currently operates to 113 destinations in 59 countries from its main hub located at Bandaranaike International Airport near Colombo.
