Retail heroes shine at Pan Asia Bank Retail Awards 2021

The nation’s Truly Sri Lankan Bank, Pan Asia Bank, held another successful edition of its annual ‘Pan Asia Retail Awards 2021’ in which the Jaffna branch won the ‘Best Branch’ accolade while a series of other awards too were distributed by members of the bank’s corporate management team. 

The bank’s corporate management took a bold decision to visit each respective branch and business unit to recognise winners across the country from Jaffna to the south as for their achievements, since the highly-anticipated event couldn’t be held in one location due to a host of challenges ranging from fuel shortages, COVID-19 restrictions and the unrest that prevailed in most parts of the country. This touching effort by the corporate management received an overwhelming response from the winners and the rest of the network which was evident in the enthusiastic welcome they received. This gesture proves the commitment by the Pan Asia Bank’s leadership to lead the team from the front and to respect the achievements of staff members. 

Commenting on the award ceremony, Pan Asia Bank MD/CEO Nimal Tillekeratne said, “Congratulations to all the winners and the rest of the branches for their dedicated effort to make this a successful year for retail banking and for extending industry-best service to our customers.”

Our team has faced a lot to challenges in the recent past with the pandemic restrictions and now the current economic crisis – but they still came through with courage and determination to achieve our goals.”
