Pan Asia Bank greens Sri Lanka, nurturing its legacy to the next generation

As the pioneer of green financing in Sri Lanka, Pan Asia Bank, the Truly Sri Lankan Bank, has supported many impactful green initiatives that are generating sustainable economic and environmental benefits to uplift the living standards of people by creating cost-efficient energy solutions for businesses and employment, while preserving the environment by promoting renewable energy and sustainable agricultural practices. Some of the key green initiatives depicted here are the Drip Irrigation projects for Ippalogama Guava cultivation, Ambalantota Papaya cultivation and sugarcane farmers in Moneragala; The Jethawanaramaya Tree planting initiative to provide relief for pilgrims while greening the area; tree planting drive amongst employees by the Bank’s HR team and many others. 

The Bank’s green efforts were reaffirmed by the bestowal of the prestigious ‘Global Climate Partnership Award’ 2019 by The Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF), one of the world’s largest climate funds.
