The Muslim Choral Ensemble (MCE) on 1 June presented An-Nur 2025, a landmark event, continuing their legacy of artistic excellence and spiritual expression at the Lionel Wendt. For the first time in its nine-year history, MCE did not  revisit familiar pieces from the past. Instead, last week’s show unveiled a new path shaped by creative freedom, and spiritual depth. The performance signalled a turning point, as every note, every rhythm, and every harmony was born from within, crafted to stir the soul and uplift the spirit. The inclusion of poetry was refreshing as well.

Rooted in sacred Islamic traditions yet enriched with contemporary expression, An-Nur 2025 reflected MCE’s continued evolution. It was more than a concert; it was a declaration of identity, purpose, and hope. Since its founding in 2017, the MCE co-founded by Haadia Galely has stood as a beacon of spiritual connection and cultural harmony.
