HNB welcomes 2024 with multi-religious ceremony

HNB PLC celebrated the New Year with a unique multi-faith prayer ceremony, symbolising its commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. Held at the Bank’s Head Office, this event was led by HNB Chairman Nihal Jayawardene, Managing Director/CEO Jonathan Alles along with the Bank’s leadership, corporate and executive management and staff. Managing Director/CEO Jonathan Alles addressed the gathering with a message of hope and resilience. “As we step into 2024, let us carry the spirit of hope and resilience. These qualities are ideals and practical tools for realising our dreams and goals. 2024, like any year, will come with its set of challenges, but our collective strength and determination will see us through,” he remarked. He further emphasised the Bank’s future direction, “Our journey so far has been a testament to our ability to adapt and thrive amidst adversity. This year, we will focus on innovation and customer-centric approaches to redefine banking excellence. We’re not just planning for the year but paving the way for a sustainable and prosperous future for all our stakeholders.” Concluding his speech, Jonathan Alles inspired the audience by stating, “Together, with a steadfast focus and united effort, we will turn challenges into opportunities, ensuring that HNB continues to set benchmarks in the banking industry. Let’s embark on this journey with confidence and a shared vision for success.” This ceremony marks the beginning of a new year and reflects HNB’s enduring dedication to its customers, employees, and stakeholders, fostering a sense of unity and forward-looking optimism for the future.
