The Ada Derana Sri Lankan of the Year 2018 Awards was held at Hilton Colombo last week. Sri Lankans who have defied convention and raised the bar of excellence were felicitated. The winners were selected by an expert jury headed by Vijitha Yapa, a former

highly-respected Editor. Other members of the jury were Prof. J. B. Dissanayake, Radhika Coomaraswamy, Jesima Ismail, General Daya Ratnayake, Dayan Gomez, Nalaka Gunawardena and Chandran Ratnam.
