AIA Group Chief Executive / President, Lee Yuan Siong visits Sri Lanka - reaffirms AIA’s commitment to the country

• Regional Conference Held in Colombo, Sri Lanka for the First Time

Over 100 AIA employees from Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka recently gathered in Colombo for a two-day conference themed ‘Sustainable Growth Together,’ making this the first time that an AIA Regional conference was held in Sri Lanka. Held on the 13th & 14th July at the Galle Face Hotel, the conference brought together Group Executive Committee members, CEOs and respective leadership teams from seven AIA markets. The conference was graced by AIA Group Chief Executive / President Lee Yuan Siong, Regional Chief Executive Tan Hak Leh alongside Group Chief Human Resources Officer Cara Ang, Group Chief Strategy Officer / Regional Chief Executive Leo Grepin, Group Chief Risk Officer Jayne Plunkett and Group Chief Healthcare Officer Dr. Kelvin Loh who were all part of the delegation that discussed the development goals and strategies that focused on fostering sustainable growth within the business units present.

During their visit to Sri Lanka, the Group Chief Executive / President, Lee Yuan Siong accompanied by Regional Chief Executive Tan Hak Leh and AIA Sri Lanka CEO Chathuri Munaweera visited Sri Lanka’s President HE Ranil Wickramasinghe as well as the Port City Commission and some key 

stakeholders to pledge support to the fortification of Sri Lanka’s life insurance industry and growing economy.
