The 2014-post Budget Forum organised by the Daily FT and the MBA Alumni Association of the University of Colombo today at The Kingsbury from 9 a.m. has been sold out. Early attendance is recommended as registration starts from 8 a.m. Over 750 participants have registered to attend the Forum, the fourth consecutive annual event held under the unique joint initiative. The popularity for this year’s event is due to the presence of top officials and business leaders. Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera will be the Chief Guest whilst other speakers will be senior economist Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy and IMF Resident Representative Dr. Koshy Mathai, whilst business leaders Aitken Spence Chairman Harry Jayawardena, John Keells Holdings Chairman Susantha Ratnayake, Carson Cumberbatch Director Mano Selvanathan, Hayleys Chairman Mohan Pandithage, Hemas Holdings Chairman Husein Esfually, CT Holdings Managing Director Ranjit Page and KPMG Sri Lanka Managing Partner Reyaz Mihular will share their perspectives as panellists followed by a Q&A session.
