aushal helms Standard Chartered Bank’s operations in the South Asia region and primarily oversees the Indian, Bangladeshi, Nepali and Sri Lankan markets. A career banker by profession, his experience in the industry spans 25 years, of which he has spent 16 fulfilling key roles in Standard Chartered Bank, across the globe.
He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Standard Chartered Bank in Taiwan, Global Head – Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and New Ventures for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore and as the Head of Corporate Banking for the UAE. The Sunday Standard Best Bankers Awards 2013 awarded Sunil Kaushal as the Best Foreign Banker in the large bank category.
Sir Thomas Harris, Vice Chairman, Standard Chartered Capital Markets Ltd., will be a panellist for the ‘Banking and Financial Services: Enhancing Access & Economic Resilience’ session on 13 November.
Sir Thomas was appointed as the Vice Chairman of Standard Chartered Capital Markets in 2004. He is a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank (Korea), a member of the Taiwan British Business Council and the Trade Policy Panel of the British Bankers Association.
He also serves as a Director of TheCityUK and is a member of the Investment and the International Advisory Board of British American Business. Sir Thomas is also Chairman of the Pakistan Britain Trade and Investment Forum, a Director of Asia House and the UK India Business Council.
