Sri Lanka’s first-ever ‘Cloud’ debuts today

The Lanka Government Cloud, an extension part of the Lanka Government Gate Project, will be launched by the Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga today at the Lanka Government Information Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of ICTA with its office at Level 13, East Tower, World Trade Centre, Colombo 1.

LGII has been mandated to administer the information infrastructure of the Government, which includes the Lanka Government Network, formerly administered by Samsung Lanka Ltd.

The Lanka Government Cloud, which was implemented by the ICTA, will be maintained by LGII.
