Spotlight on five hubs strategy today

The county’s five hubs strategy will come under spotlight today at a first of its kind full day forum organised by Daily FT and Colombo University MBA Alumni Association at Hilton Colombo. Nearly 300 participants from private and public sector will attend the event, which will be inaugurated by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa as the Chief Guest at 9.00 a.m. Central Bank Governor Nivard Cabraal will deliver the keynote. Parth S. Tewari, Head, Competitive Industries Global Practice of the World Bank Group, Singapore, will be special guest speaker. During the full day, opportunities and challenges in realising the five hubs – maritime, aviation, commercial + tourism, knowledge and energy – will be discussed by over 25 public and private sector leaders drawn from the respective sectors. Science and Technology Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka will also make a special post-lunch presentation.
