Remittances soar by 23% to $ 557.6 m

In June 2013, workers’ remittances increased by 23.3%, year-on-year, to $ 557.6 million from $ 452.3 million in June 2012. Cumulative inflows of workers’ remittances during the first half of 2013 amounted to $3,207.7 million, a rise of 9.0% compared to the first half of 2012.
