People’s Leasing goes for Rs. 6 b debenture

People’s Leasing and Finance Plc has announced a move to raise Rs. 6 billion via a listed debenture issues.

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) said it has approved in principle an application submitted by People’s Leasing & Finance (PLC) for the listing of its debentures, to raise Rs. 6 billion in total.

PLC is expected to offer 60 million Rated, Senior, Unsecured and Redeemable Debentures at Rs. 100 each. This is on the basis of an initial issue of 40 million debentures and the option to offer a further 20 million in the event of the original figure being oversubscribed.

Public can begin subscribing to the issue from 26 October whilst the official opening is on 5 November.
