Paddy appointed acting Chairman of Tourism

Industry veteran Paddy Withana has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of both Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. BUP_DFT_DFT-1-144

The acting appointment is until the Government finds suitable full time replacements. Withana was previously the Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and for the acting role the Promotion Bureau has been included as well.

Previously, Rohantha Athukorala headed the Promotion Bureau. All heads of Tourism agencies including Withana and the respective Boards resigned on Tuesday paving way for fresh appointments.

Acting heads have been appointed to Sri Lanka Conventions Bureau and Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management as well.
