Nihal Sri Ameresekere publishes six books

On Thursday, 12 May, in Washington, D.C., Nihal Sri Ameresekere, Member of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), responsible for promoting the implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption, launched six publications on economic crime, fraud and corruption, fiscal management, governance and accountability.

Ameresekere first addressed the Tax Justice Network, which considers the ways in which national legislatures may make national law conform to the requirements of the implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption. Subsequently, he addressed an audience of representatives of several agencies at the office of the Government Accountability Project (GAP) in Washington.

GAP is the foremost whistleblower protection organisation in the United States, with over 30 years’ experience protecting the rights of occupational free speech and combating fraud and corruption.

On Friday Ameresekere addressed the UN Correspondents Association, New York, to the global media on these publications. On Monday, 16 May, and Wednesday, 18 May, these books are to be further publicised in Miami at the 25th Annual Conference of the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management (ICGFM).

Ameresekere is also due to make a presentation on these books in Los Angeles on Thursday, 19 May. The books are being printed in the US and UK.

Other books are to be progressively released to the global market.
