In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Month 2025, nVentures and TiE Colombo Chapter are joining forces to launch “Founder’s Table”, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to create authentic one-on-one connections between emerging entrepreneurs and seasoned business leaders. Through this program, 20 high-potential founders will each be paired with an experienced mentor for an in-person meal and deep conversation during November — turning the traditional event format into something more meaningful: human connection, shared experience, and real mentorship.
Founder’s Table: 20 Conversations for Entrepreneurship Month is built on one simple belief — that the most transformative growth happens through conversation, not conference panels. Each meeting invites founders and mentors to explore a common theme: “The Moment That Defined My Entrepreneurial Journey.”
These intimate exchanges are designed to spark long-term relationships, unlock personal insights, and strengthen Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial fabric.
Key goals of the program: Celebrate entrepreneurship through genuine dialogue — not pitches or panels; Facilitate 20 high-quality, one-on-one founder–mentor conversations across November; Inspire a new wave of mentorship stories that fuel Sri Lanka’s startup momentum; and Showcase nVentures and TiE Colombo as committed partners in nurturing global-ready entrepreneurs.
nVentures Managing Partner Chalinda Abeykoon said: “Traditional networking events often feel transactional, quick exchanges with little real connection. Founder’s Table moves away from that. As founders, we often prioritise everything except ourselves, yet our startups grow only as much as we do. This format is about creating space for genuine human connection, meaningful conversations, and inclusive mentorship that welcomes every kind of mind. And what better way to start than by sharing a meal.”
TiE Colombo President Madu Ratnayake said: “As founders, we often prioritise everything except ourselves. But a startup’s growth is directly tied to the founder’s own growth. Founder’s Table is about restoring that balance, and there’s no better place to start than over a good meal and an honest conversation.”
The launch of Founder’s Table marks a new chapter in TiE Colombo’s broader mission: to build global entrepreneurs from Sri Lanka. It also underscores nVentures’ growing role as a catalyst for elevating South Asian startups into globally competitive companies through strategic capital, mentorship, and market access.
This program is part of a larger series of initiatives leading up to the TiE Colombo Global Conference 2026, the flagship gathering for founders, investors, and global ecosystem partners shaping Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial future.
