The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein on 16 February approved a recommendation to delay the consideration of a report looking into alleged human rights violations during the conflict in Sri Lanka for six months (until the 30th session of the UNHRC in September 2015) instead of presenting it at the 28th session.
This was done in response to a written request made by Samaraweera.
The 28th UNHRC sessions will conclude on 27 March.
