Indrani reappointed as IBSL Chief

Top civil servant Indrani Sugathadasa has been re-appointed as the Chairperson of the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka, the insurance industry regulator. She was first appointed as IBSL Chairperson in May 2010 and considering her integrity and professionalism the Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake has re-appointed her. She was also a former Chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission. As a member of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) since in 1977, Sugathadasa has held various positions including Secretary, Ministry of Child Development and Women’s Empowerment and Secretary, Ministry of Plantation Industries.
