Hunt begins for a new CEO at CSE

The search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has begun with advertisements placed calling for qualified applicants. The decision to advertise the post was made by the Board of the CSE during the last meeting held recently. The move follows long-standing incumbent Surekha Sellahewa recently announcing her decision to quit from end-October, ending a career spanning 23 years at the CSE. The incoming CEO will also have to steer the CSE through a process that is expected to lead to demutualisation apart from delivering aggressive business growth within a robust risk management framework and business plans. Deadline for applications is 15 August.
