Hayleys MGT fraud suspects further remanded

Two suspects over the Rs. 700 million fraud at Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills this week were further remanded until 5 July by the Matugama Magistrate.

The Matugama Magistrate refused to grant bail to the two suspects – Bandula Weerasinghe, who was the former Joint Managing Director and Roshan Gunaratne when the case came up on Monday. This was the second extension after the case was first heard on 30 May.
