Floods displace over 100,000

THE number of people affected by the severe weather experienced in the country has risen to over 100,000 according to the latest data from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said. The DMC said that 26688 families comprising of 109,075 people have been affected by the rain, floods and landslides as of this afternoon. Several houses have also been damaged while 23 people were killed and one person remains missing.
