Estate Management buys 21% stake in WATA for Rs. 691 m

Watawala Plantation (WATA) announced yesterday that the immediate controlling shareholder, Estate Management Services (Ltd) (EMSPL) has increased their holdings in WATA further by acquiring 49.4 million shares at a value of Rs.14 per share. Whilst Moldex Ltd disposed off their entire stake of 44.9 million shares (19%) and Ceybank Unit Trust holding disposed 4.5 million shares (2%). Consequently, EMSPL is now holding 176.6mn shares (74.6% of stake).
