EPF ups stake in Central Finance to 10%

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has increased its stake in Central Finance to 10%af of last week. By end December 2013, the EPF’s stake in Central Finance was 9.52%, up from 9.08% as at end September 2013. Corporate Services Ltd. holds a 16.11% stake in Central Finance Plc whilst E.H. Wijenaike holds 15.41%. CF recently announced a second interim dividend of 85 cents per share, same as the first interim dividend for the financial year ended 2013/14. In the previous year CF paid Rs. 2.90 as dividend including a final dividend of Rs. 1.20 per share. Last month, the EPF also increased its stake in Piramal Glass Ceylon Plc to 10% from 9.5% as at end December 2013.
